Bargue Drawing 4

Well here is my fourth Bargue drawing plate.  It was ears.  I am really looking forward to the next one which is a foot.  I am continually improving and am happy with my progress.

Bargue Drawing 1

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am doing the Bargue plates.  I’m not doing them with the sight-sized method although I did get a very good post encouraging me to do so.  Maybe I’ll go through them a second time with the sight-sized method. Who knows!  But right now my gut is telling me to keep doing them without this method right now.  As usual, I see errors but I think I am strengthen my eye.  Well anyway, here’s the first plate:

Perspective Drawing Practice

I have been doing the practice exercise from the book Drawing Simplified.  I am really starting to understand a lot more about perspective.  I can see that much improvement is need in my drawings, but I also see how much progress I am making especially since I am not using rulers or other technical aids.  I feel I draw the small drawings better that the larger drawings right now, but this will probably even out with practice.  Here are some of my recent perspective drawings:
